Who: All Nippon Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner
What: All Nippon Airways Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was forced to return to Kuala Lumpur Monday due to engine trouble.
When: Feb. 22, 2016 - 03:05PM
Where: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Why: The Dreamliner, built largely with lightweight composite materials that reduce fuel use
How: The cause of the overheating problem.
On Febuary 22, 2016 on 3:05 PM an ANA Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carrying 203 passengers and 11 crew members. The plane was scheduled to arrive at Narita airport at 3:15 p.m. local time. And left Kuala Lumpur airport at 8:09 am local time but landed back there safely at 9:27 a.m. Due to the right engine exhaust temperature jumped, according to ANA spokesman Shoichiro Horii. Early that year several planes experienced problems with batteries overheating that caused a fire on one aircraft. Changes were made to prevent recurrence.
I think this article is important because the plane is carrying 214 people. This is an engine problem, so if anything serious happen to the engine the plane can have risk of explosion in the sky, and can kill a lot of lives.
