                           MS Mandarin Pets Reflection Activity

 

Overview: In this lesson I have learned about pets. We learn how to use the word to count pet and numbers. We learn how to write the chinese word. We learn about writing the word Monkey, Dog, Cat and etc. We also learn about the chinese new year. 

 

Standards: In this lesson I think my standard is Cultural Awareness. By cultural awareness I mean I develop interest in Chinese culture, and know the benefits of using different languages locally.

1) Listen to, identify and produce the basic sounds of Pinyin.  

 

2) Basic word order

 

 

3) Listening: very limited and brief expression related to Pets  

 

4) Writing: 1) write Pinyin correctly; 2) write basic Chinese characters

 

5) Speaking: repeat, retell and recite words and sentences learned in class with proper tones

 

6) Reading: recognize Pinyin and use Pinyin to locate characters with the help of teacher

 

7) With teacher guidance, learn to use textbooks, pictures, pictionaries and multimedia resources to seek information
